Funeral program templates
Every Candlefold program starts from a template: an example order of service for the kind of service you’re planning, in a design you choose. You change every line, then see the program, slideshow and prayer cards finished before you pay.

Catholic funeral Mass
Starts with: Introductory Rites (greeting, placing of the pall, entrance hymn), the Liturgy of the Word (readings, psalm, Gospel, homily), the Liturgy of the Eucharist, and the Final Commendation with the Song of Farewell.
Checked by Candlefold against the Order of Christian Funerals; not reviewed by a priest or deacon. Your parish has the final word.

Celebration of life
Starts with: Music as guests arrive, a welcome, a life story, a reading, shared memories, music, a slideshow tribute, a moment of reflection and closing words.
Non-religious by design: no prayers or crosses unless you add them.
Christian (Protestant)
Starts with: A prelude, words of welcome, an opening prayer, hymns, Old and New Testament readings, the obituary, words of remembrance, a message of hope, prayers and the Lord’s Prayer, a closing hymn and the benediction.
An example to change: churches and denominations differ. We don’t have a guide page for this tradition yet.
Homegoing
Starts with: A musical prelude, the processional, a hymn of comfort, Old and New Testament scripture, a prayer of comfort, acknowledgements and resolutions, the obituary, reflections, musical selections and the eulogy.
An example order that varies from church to church; change it to match yours. Our guide page will be published once a pastor from the tradition has reviewed it.
Latter-day Saint
Starts with: Presiding and conducting, prelude music, the opening hymn and invocation, a life sketch, a musical number, speakers, remarks, the closing hymn, the benediction and the dedication of the grave.
The Church’s General Handbook (29.5.4) says video presentations should not be part of a funeral service held in a chapel, so show the slideshow at the viewing, the reception or a family gathering. We don’t have a guide page for this tradition yet.
Simple, non-religious
Starts with: Music as guests arrive, a welcome, a tribute, a reading, reflections, a moment of silence, closing words and closing music.
No religious wording unless you add it. Change every line.

Every template includes the matching slideshow and a sheet of prayer or memorial cards, plus a large-print copy of the program. An optional military-honors section can be added to any of them. Your own priest, pastor or minister always has the final word on your service. How we check our pages.
