Photos
Your photos are opened and arranged right here in your browser. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else. The program, cards and slideshow are put together on your device.
Your draft
What you type, and your photos and song, are saved in this browser’s own storage so you can stop and come back. They stay on this device. Some browsers clear saved work after a while without a visit, so save a project file if you want a copy. You can clear the draft at any time.
“Help me write it”
If you tap Help me write it, a first draft is written on your device from the facts you’ve typed. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else, and no AI service is used. Edit it freely, or simply write it yourself.
Payment
Payments are handled by Stripe, on Stripe’s own secure page. We never see your card number. Stripe sends your receipt to the email you give it; we use that email only if you write to us, for example about a refund. Your purchase is kept on this device, and in your project file, as a small signed code with no name or email in it.
No tracking
No account, no advertising trackers, and we never sell or share anything about your family.
If you join the waitlist
If you leave your email to hear when payments open, we keep it, with any answers you choose to type, only to send that one message and to improve Candlefold.
To see where families get stuck, the editor sends a few anonymous counts, such as “the preview was reached”, with no cookie and no identifier. The full privacy policy lists everything we collect and who processes it, and our terms of service cover the rest.

Full refund if you ask within 30 days.
No forms and no questions. We know this week is hard enough.
How it works
Reply to your receipt, or write to help@candlefold.com, within 30 days of paying. We refund the full $39 to the card you used within 2 business days. Your bank may take 5 to 10 more business days to show it.
Before you pay
You see every page, the cards and the slideshow, finished, before you pay. If something doesn’t look right, write to us first. We’re glad to help fix it.
After a refund
You can keep what you’ve printed. We just ask that you don’t download new copies.
